About CEDRIC WILLIAMS:

Cedric Williams is a business owner, community leader, former Mayor of Forrest City, and candidate for Mayor of Forrest City.

Originally from Stephens, Arkansas, Cedric earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from the University of Arkansas. He has worked with State Farm Insurance for more than 31 years in leadership, claims, and agency roles and currently serves as a State Farm Agent in Forrest City.

Cedric and his wife, Brandye, chose Forrest City as their home and have dedicated themselves to strengthening the community through public service, youth development, economic opportunity, and civic engagement. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Tyra and Sydni.

After moving to Forrest City in 2013, Cedric quickly became involved in community leadership and public service. He was elected Mayor of Forrest City and served during one of the most challenging periods in recent history. During his administration, the city secured millions of dollars in watershed, drainage, and wastewater infrastructure funding; implemented ShotSpotter technology; introduced drone capabilities for Police and Fire Departments; strengthened city finances; supported economic development initiatives; and improved neighborhood quality of life throughout the community.

As Mayor, Cedric led Forrest City through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining a focus on public safety, essential services, infrastructure improvements, and long-term community progress.

Since leaving office, Cedric has remained actively involved in community development, youth workforce initiatives, civic leadership, church service, and regional partnerships. He currently helps lead workforce development and youth employment programs serving young people throughout Eastern Arkansas and serves as Co-Director of the Rumble on the Ridge Basketball Tournament, one of the region’s premier high school basketball events.

Cedric believes public service does not begin or end with elected office. His continued work with youth development, workforce readiness, community partnerships, and civic engagement has reinforced his belief that Forrest City’s best days are still ahead.

His campaign is built on a simple principle: Forrest City First.

Cedric’s vision is focused on strengthening neighborhoods, investing in young people, modernizing infrastructure, improving public safety, and creating opportunities that will move Forrest City forward for generations to come.
